Sarah and Andrew had lived what someone would call a romantic fairy tale. They couldn’t get enough of each other. It was as if they had been ordained to be together. To them, it felt like the world had evolved around them but must a perfect love story end when Andrew was involved in a fatal accident on their way back from a family trip.
It was their first anniversary, they had gone to a specific island founded in the south Pacific region, filled with great culture, exotic food, and beautiful beaches with the best kind of weather. This island was known to be the birthplace of surfing. Andrew had planned the trip as he felt that was the perfect place to celebrate the one-year happiness with the apple of his eye. But he didn’t know that such a place will lead him to his demise.
The fatal accident had claimed the life of Andrew while forcing Sarah into a coma and it had left a scar on not only her body but in her heart

Just as Sarah enter his office, she could see two flags standing at his back. The flag on the right side was the country’s flag. It had about thirteen alternating red and white stripes with numerous stars on a blue field. She also saw the picture of a young blonde lady with blue eyes. Sarah could not tell if the lady in the picture face was oval or round as it looks too small to be round and too big to be oval.
Mr.Thompson was on the phone, he ordered Sarah to take a seat by pointing to the chair in front of the à big brown where he was seated as he stayed online with the person on the phone. Judging by the way sound Sarah could tell that the person on the phone had to be an important person. As he sounded with humility and he always seemed to complete his sentence with the sir salutation. Just as Sarah watch Mr. Thompson having the conversation she could remember vividly how he used applied the gesture when he wants to get a potential client.
Just then Mr. Thompson hangs up the call he smiles as both of them exchange pleasantries.
“ How long has it been five, six, seven?” Mr. Thompson asked smiling at her.
“Quite a long sir” Sarah replied as all his front teeth showed.
Mr. Thompson trying to fill his curiosity asked her what could have brought her to see him after all those time. Because he could remember the last time she saw her, was quite a long time.
Mr. Thompson was a man with capacity as he had a lot of connections and influence. Sarah went to beseeched to him that he would help her use the power and influence to list Ana on the national waiting list for the transplant program. For she had constantly gone to the medical board to seek an appointment with them so that Ana would be listed on the waiting list but for the past two weeks she had ended up being disappointed. She had constantly been told that a doctor had to refer her to the program before she could be set on appointments.
Sarah had prayed and hoped that Mr. Thompson would lend her a helping hand. She had exhausted every available means at her disposal. She had run out of options and patience as she feared was afraid that at that moment, time was her biggest enemy seeking Mr. Thompson’s help was her one final hope toward saving her baby girl.
A True Test Of Faith
Sarah was on her bed, her face glued to the ceiling as she watched the fan rotating. Though the fan was set to the highest, she could feel that her body was soaked in her own sweat. She was having trouble sleeping as she lay on her bed. She had the awful thought of losing her daughter. The disease had completely drained the life of Ana and each day, Sarah could see the life draining from her daughter whenever she looked into her eyes
As Sarah still lay on the bed, she remembered the last conversation she had with Mr. Thompson.
It was on the second day after she went to see Mr. Thompson, She was at her job doing her shift when her phone rang. It was an unknown number so she hesitated before picking up the call as she kind of busy at the moment but the caller consistently kept calling and calling. She had to go to the bathroom to pick the up as it was against the company policy to use their mobile phones while they were on the job.
As she answered the call, she could hear a male that sounded with a big bass. It sounded familiar but she couldn’t tell who it was exactly. The caller was said to be Mr. Thompson. He asked her to meet him at a restaurant so that they couldn’t talk about how he was going to help her concerning her daughter’s health . Sarah screamed for joy as she heard those words for it was all prayed for that Me Thompson would have a change of heart and help her.
Immediately she left her job without bothering about the implications because nothing had mattered to her more than the life of his daughter.
Just as Sarah reached the restaurant, the host asked her if she had a reservation. Just as she was about to explain she was meeting someone, she sighted Mr. Thompson seated at the table with any second delay she called him and he ordered the host to let her in.
As she get to the table, Mr. Thompson offered her a glass of wine but Sarah refused. She told him that she didn’t drink. She was more eager to hear what he wanted to tell her about how he could help save her daughter.
Sarah could remember the exact Mr. Thompson had said was the condition if she truly wanted his help. The condition Mr. Thompson gave Sarah seemed very impossible for her to accomplish as it would contradict her faith.
As Sarah lay on her bed she knew she had to make a decision first as she was left was only two options. She would either go against her faith and save her daughter or watched her daughter die as she held on to her faith
